well, i think that when these shooters get attention, like that guy at Virginia tech (i remember what he looks like can't say the same for any of the victims and their story).
I think the shooters are outsiders and media attention is what makes them do it. (why it has become sooo common) I mean there were nobodies but now even in death they r somebody.

I am not saying that the media should stop reporting these horific crimes but maybe focus more on the victims (as was done recently on GMA of the mall shootings)...

The mass media glorifies and makes famous these mass murderers by giving them so much attention.

Such stories should be treated as local news stories, so each incident will not cause a chain reaction of incidents.

The media cannot restrain itself, maybe we need voters to make a referendum on the issue.

its a sign some people are tired of taking shiit, what do you expect when they outlaw corporal punishment? society is getting too soft on our next generation, locking people up or sitdown time isnt going to do it, i learned my lesson when my dad gave me a good wooping when my mom punished me i sat in my room and tried to think of ways i could get away with it
