He's the only logical answer to the nearly impossible question mark that the current president has hoisted above our country.

I'm not "obsessed" but I think we need someone in the W.H. who's going to *shake things up!*
We shouldn't have embasseys in every single country in the world. They just end up as conduits for foreign aid and immigration to this country.
And we shouldn't have Troops in more than 130 countries!
Ron Paul's biggest enemies are the lobbyists and lawyers in Washington who are on the U.S. Taxpayer's Gravy Train!
It's like drugs! They're *hooked* on Taxpayer Money!
Their biggest fear is that they'll be cast out into the "D.P.S." (Dreaded Private Sector)

Compare him to other candidates and there isn't much comparison. He would overall be the best choice for our country. While some people may not agree with all of his ideas, he sticks to his guns, and his honesty and integrity are something that is seldom seen. Supporters are crazy about him because he strikes a chord with the majority of America. He addresses real problems that are going on that none of the other candidates want to talk about. People can hate on him, but when Rudy or Mitt wind up running the show, they'll have to reap what they sow.

He is a non event.
He is running on the same platform that won him 0.5% of the vote in 1988.
The American public consistently reject libertarianism at every election. Why Paul and his fans think that will change if he calls hiself a Republican this time is a mystery.

I think he's the most authentic, intelligent and compassionate candidate running. I am IMPRESSED... Republican or Democrat, I have almost never seen a candidate who is so honest and relativistic in his/her thinking, and who doesn't try to please the public but says the things exactly as s/he believes them. If you believe in lower taxes, are anti-war, against the patriot act, and believe in honest government who looks out for our well being not their own self interests then look into him.

He would have been a better president fifty years ago.
Now he comes across as a kook.
His stance on Iraq is wrong. He generally believes that if the USA left Iraq no outside forces--LIKE IRAN would try to take over Iraq and spread their influence throughout the middle-east.

I think that when he wins the presidency, even if he cannot make any of the things happen that he says he will. He will at least be the guy holding the VETO stamp for four years.

He appeals to the radical conservative base. He's not a candidate to take too serious, he'll never get more than 3 or 4% of the vote.

I think his libertarian ideas sound great until you think about countries that operate like a libertarian society, haiti and mexico. Then it doesn't sound so good. No rules, no big government, low taxes and low regulation.
