This all depends on how long you havent seen your daughter. Where is the mother? Do you see your daughter on a regular basis? The courts just won't hand over custody without good reason for doing so. Even though shes your daughter it just dosent work like that. Get a good solicitor who will be able to give you the facts and where you will stand with regards to this.And it will take along time and will cost.
You will need to prove that you homes is safe for a child to live there. Speek to a solicitor and go from there.

It is very rare that a judge would give you custody if the child is happy and safe where she is.If she is not,then you need a solicitor.
