It plugs into the computer using a USB cable. If I buy an adapter with an antenna on one end and the other end plugs into the USB port on the printer, will it be able to print? WIll I be able to print from any laptop with wireless card? I will be using my wireless modem/router from Bell South DSL.

no, that won't work, because the printer does not know how to use the wireless adapter.

what you need is a wireless print server. it connects your printer to your wireless network, and allows you to send print jobs to it via your wireless network.

Don't think a wireless adapter will work, the problem is Vista, or a lack of drivers for Vista. Adding a wireless adapter still isn't going to make it work with Vista. Hound HP for Vista compatible drivers.

Yes. There are wireless print servers available from several companies. Linksys is the brand I have and recommend. They are a bit of a pain to set up and some printer drivers will not work on networks. Do a check to see if the driver is available.

Just "share" your printer and you'll be able to print from the laptop, no additional hardware should be needed.
