Don't think you're getting the point!!!!! We, as part of the European Union, are no longer, under the trde desciptions act, allowed to call them Brussel Sprouts because they were not grown in BRUSSELS!!!!!!!

Brussel sprouts are a cool season biennial. Axillary buds are borne in the leaf axils during the first year of growth. A seed head is produced in the second year after vernalization has occured.

I think that your question is something like Frank Carson, 'The way you tell 'em' ~ or in this, your case, 'the way you ask 'em.'

Your question is (to me at any rate), 'as clear as mud' ...though having to read it some 6 + times, I think I begin to understand what you are trying to mean.

Personally, as I cannot stand Sprouts, I couldn't care less about them ....though I can't quite see what your reference to the 'a r se' has to do with anything here.

Is this a 'Political' thing?

This is very funny. I can't stop laughing. I'll have to tell my British husband. He'll get a kick out of this.

What do they call it now? Little cabbage? - lol. Or is that not a French expression? - lol.
