I'm hoping to try out to be a cheerleader next year.

I was a dancer since I was 3. That's about 11 years of dance training (ballet, jazz, modern).

I can get down in all my splits and I am extremely flexible. I've never done gymnastics though and I can't do a proper cartwheel.

I weigh 95 pounds so maybe I could be one of the girls that gets lifted? I'm really cute too.

I exercise regularly too.

Will that be enough to get onto at least the Freshman team? It's a small town and a small town school. Only high school. They don't go to competitions either...

Sounds like you got what it takes but seems to me alot of it depended on popularity unfortunately. I hope you get it! Good luck.

Sounds like you're off to a good start. IN the time being until try outs, you should get into gymnastics and at least learn the basics.....cartwheel, round off, etc. If it's a small school, if you can learn to do a back handspring, you'd probably be a shue in. Some schools require it, but if yours is small and doesn't go to competitions, then they probably don't. However, it'll give you an advantage. You also need to be able to yell loudly.

Sounds like u dont know much...the girl who gets lifted is called the flyer...but a lot of cheerleaders these days tumble so unless u have a backhandspring or running tumbling ur prob not going to make it on a very good team...not trying to put u down just speaking the truth

Im a cheerleader =D
and from what you said it sounds like you would prob make it.
you need confidence, determination, a desire to learn new things, and perseverance, of course being flexible and stuff helps alot too ;) it sucks that you dont go to competitions, theyre sooooo much fun and its the real place where you see how hard it can be to be a cheerleader. ppl mostly disrespect cheerleaders becuase they dont see how hard it is at say, football games, competitions are so much more extreme.
