What are we going to race? Cars, bikes, boats, etc.?
There is only one race, THE HUMAN RACE!

Yes. If ppl have power over you - like your boss and they have ideas about you based on race - it matters.
Edit: This is why there is such a schism about race in America. Most of the answers are suggesting that race does not exist or have an impact. Maybe everyone should clarify if they feel it does not matter to them personally or if it does not matter in life. If they are suggesting the ladder then we aint ever going to figure out race in this country.

Race does not matter in God's eyes BC he created all of us in my opinion (which might I remind you all I am entitled to have so no mean emails please) However there are statistics that are positive and undeniable in our society that allow further racism to take place without battle. So, in this world it does indeed matter BC it can effect you.

We all say it doesn't but in all reality it does. I mean think about how many times you say "Look at that black girl" or "look at that mexican" or "Look at that white girl" It matters. We can't say look at that girl with the red shirt on its either black mexican or white. working at some places i have overhead people say oh no here comes the mexicans, but what did they do to that person, nothing, but to us as humans it naturally matters to us because it is different

no, people are people, and nothing will change that, so if we are all human beings, we should all be equal to everyone else, and we shouldn't have conflicts throughout the world, we are all gifted, and humans are gifted with different races.
