I am having a problem with the heating. The car has heat when the car is in motion, but when i am at a stop sign, or light or park cool air comes out even after the car has been warmed up. The car runs fine.... besides 1 oxygen sensor needs to be changed. The heat works all other times only when the car is not in motion any ideas? thanks

Bleed the cooling system, add more antifreeze if necessary. If this cures your problem, great, if not...

look at your temperature gauge. If it cools down when you're on the highway, and returns to normal temperature when standing still idling... your thermostat is dead, a new one from Bavauto is about $70.

If these 2 methods don't work for you, you may need a new water pump.

Hope you have tons of money for maintenance. With that many miles you'll be a regular at the BMW dealership. That's the only place you can get parts when that high mileage beast starts breaking down. They charge an arm, a leg and a gonad every time you drive in. I know. I owned one, until I got smart.

well it could be your radiator, thermostat, or electronic control valve.
