I can't get my drier to change temperature settings other then high... any suggestions?

OK, I removed ALL the lint from everywhere there could possibly be lent. (yes I clean the trap every load) The drier was taken apart and vacuumed out throughly. I will try it and let you know.

It sounds like you have a variable control unit for temperature changes. And, the unit must be shot. It's only working on one temp control. You could use it this way until you either find another unit or have the control replaced but, it could also be dangerous. So, I would recommend you have the control replaced.

Not only check the lint trap, but ensure there is no lint accumulation in the lint pipe and in the heating element. This not only affects how your dryer heats up, but can also start a fire.

Is it that it wont change temperatures, or that it will only dry the wash when its really really hot? If thats the case, check the lint trap.

There is a sensor inside the drum, that senses moisture, I think it has failed.
