I know your pain! I've had them off and on during this pregnancy (35wks) and actually have them again! UGH I couldnt sleep lastnight the pain was awful!? Tucks pads are good, so is the PH but you can also get a script from your dr. too, I'm asking tomorrow when I see him!
Buy some Epsom salt at your drug store and fill up your tub with hot water, just enough to cover your bum. Sit on a hand towel too, better than sitting on a hard tub! Soak for 10 mins or so in the hot water with 2-3 cups of salt. It'll relieve a lot of the swelling!
Also, my girlfriend offered some advice earlier today... do you have a boppy pillow? Try sitting on that if you're sitting for long periods of time. It's helped me today!
Good luck!

OMG...I've alway heard that hemorrhoids are terrible and I decide to lookup some info on them for you and now I wish I hadn't.
I just checked out this link:
http://www.hemorrhoid.net/hemorrhoids.php
The link above does not have nay pictures but it does link to pages with pictures...I do not suggest you look at the pictures!
Here is a cut and past of treatment info:
--Medical treatment of hemorrhoids is aimed initially at relieving symptoms. Measures to reduce symptoms include · Warm tub baths several times a day in plain, warm water for about 10 minutes.
--Application of a hemorrhoidal cream or suppository to the affected area for a limited time. Preventing of the recurrence of hemorrhoids will require relieving the pressure and straining of constipation.
--Doctors will often recommend increasing fiber and fluids in the diet. Eating the right amount of fiber and drinking six to eight glasses of fluid (not alcohol) result in softer, bulkier stools. A softer stool makes emptying the bowels easier and lessens the pressure on hemorrhoids caused by straining. Eliminating straining also helps prevent the hemorrhoids from protruding. Good sources of fiber are fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. In addition, doctors may suggest a bulk stool softener or a fiber supplement such as psyllium or methylcellulose.
--In some cases, hemorrhoids must be treated endoscopically or surgically. These methods are used to shrink and destroy the hemorrhoidal tissue. The doctor will perform the procedure during an office or hospital visit.
So, it does not say how long they last...use the prep-H! I mean, what is worse...that prep-H or the PAIN! And be sure to drink lots of water and be sure you get plenty of fiber.
Good Luck

DO NOT USE PREPARATION H! It's a medication that will affect your baby! Use Tucks and ask your doctor about taking sitz baths. I had them with both pregnancies. They go away after you give birth in about a week or so. Don't hold it in if you have to go. I know it hurts, but holding it will make it worse. You can also ask your doctor about using a stool softener. This may help. Also don't sit for long periods of time. This will help relive some of the pain.

3 weeks ago i had an internal hemeroid, even tho there was no pain i still knew it was there, when i went to the toilet i actually busted it and i bled from the bottom ALOT. i thought i was dying lol.
theres not much u can do for them, try some cold ice or water on it or even just rub some cream on there, they can last anywhere from 1-2 weeks. try not to lift anything AT ALL as it will only make it worse. keep ur feet up as well, let gravity take over... try eating foods that wont give u hard stools as this will only make it bigger and even more sore too..
its from all the pressure baby is puttin on your rectum, and since u have now had one, u will probably continuely get them through out the rest of your pregnancy
good luck tho xox

Make sure you aren't straining when you move your bowels.... if so, try a stool softener. I know this sounds gross, but put a thin line of Prep H on a Tucks pad (in a plastic jar at most stores).... with your finger on the Tucks, gently press the hemoroid back 'in'. Also a cool sits bath (just a small amount of cool water in the tub) will also help. If it is persistant, tell your Ob/Gyn.... best wishes wit your little one

Those things can hurt SOOO bad. The preperation H will work the best. But you don't have to insert it. Just put some on your finger then apply. Also witchazel works wonderfully. And sitz bath. Any warm bath really I used bath salt in mine, it worked like a charm. Congrats on your pregnancy!!

Fill the bathtub up with warm water and soak your bottom in it for about 20 minutes- this will help. You also need to make sure and keep it clean or it can cause more pain so wash it numerous times a day, especially after a bowel movement. Try and not strain during bowel movements because this can cause severe pain and cause more to appear. Make sure you are getting enough fiber in your diet because this helps your bowel movements stay regular- also consider taking an all natural papaya enzyme pill (they sell this at most grocery stores)- take one pill after each meal and it helps with digestion (check with doctor first since you are pregnant).

well all i can say is when i was younger my step mom had them, she was going all over the house with no panties lol and she said that if you strain to much while having a BM that it will make it worse, she also said that it comes from having kids. now that i don't know if it true because i have had to children and i haven't got any hemroids, maybe you can go to the doc.and they might have some pills or something,or you could call a pharmacy and ask them what you could do for it.
I'm sorry that i couldn't be of more help............

I understand what you are going through!!! btw..I have Crohn's disease..so this is very common to me. Use TUCKS pads right away!!! Wear them everywhere!! seriously..they help so much! also...take hot baths a few times a day (they are called sits baths , but same thing)
If it gets too bad try to take some tylenol or ask a doctor for pain medication.
Ohhh..!! I feel for you!!!
When you wear the tucks, make sure and wear a pad so they don't leak through your pants. Good luck honey!

i dont know if there is anything you can get to make it go away, just keep using the preparation H or Tucks pads everytime you go to the bathroom. Make sure you clean the area too after you go to the Bathroom. Take stool softeners, it will make it easier, and less painful to go. Try not to strain while going, because it can make them worse. You can also get Dermitol its a numbing spray for down there. Youll get that at the hospital after you deliver, but you can get it at the store it can be used for hemmorhoids too.
