Fixing the dud bits of my machine isn't even an interesting hobby. I could be meeting & conversing & eating with my friends, indoors, instead. There's never a good time to get acquainted with badly-designed & badly positioned components in the rain or sleet, is there?
Do you have one friend who invites you to a party, then halfway there, makes loud rude noises, turns out the lights, shreds the music, dips their hands in sooty oil, hides in a knuckle-grating maze, breaking off sharp but essential parts as they go, and then insists that you find them in the dark by guessing what their internal problems are, or by paying a professional to diagnose them? Well, if that's your idea of a friend, yup, that's my car : )

I once video tape myself masturbating in my car so yes, I would consider my car a friend.. Probably a best friend at that.. That's the only friend I've ever get naked too. We're close like Ashley and Mary Kate. Batman and robin.

I would have to go with enemy.... but that because it isn't my baby.... no my last car was my baby.... I had it since it only had 7.0 miles on it. It was almost brand new, just only 7 miles. then this summer by BF at the time took my car out with out my permission and it ended up totalled....
I lost my baby that night... it was more than my friend....and I am not talking about the BF .... but that did put a huge push towards me kicking his *** out the door.

My faithful steed. It sits patiently outside, a little short on fuel at the moment but quietly confident I will gas it up tomorrow and hoping I get it's oil changed really soon. OK, the tires are probably a little low on air, but it understands - it knows the air lines are always broken at the gas stations around here.

Yes - at least most of the time. Sometimes my car will complain or make noises though.
Overall I cannot complain. A good good friend.

Hell yeah, I take better care of my car, than I do myself. Its my only mode of transportation, I dont really own it until the last payment, and its the only thing of value I really have.
