I have glaucoma and this creates (to a certain extent) tunnel vision. Therefore, it is very necessary for me to look straight ahead - particularly if I want to get where I am going! I have to literally turn my head to "see" left and right!

I have bifocals and if I don't look exactly where I am going i am likely to trip over something so I must look ahead. Stairs are a real challenge.

That would be rather silly to only look forward... you may never know what you have left behind.
