First and foremost 1 year is only an estimate. My wife had breast cancer and they told her that she MIGHT live 6 months. She lasted over 2 years. I say fight it as hard as you can.. Be close to your family, but have fun. If you are in good enough physical shape, go scuba diving, or sky diving or whatever it is that you were afraid of.. Not to be morbid but whats the worst thing that can happen to you? Live much. Laugh much. Love much. Youll never go wrong.

Been there love - so I know something of what you are feeling right now so believe I am not a heartless ***** when I say - Congratulations love.
Hang on don't get mad and I'm not being mean or stupid here.
First - You know what is wrong - you know what treatment you need and you do know
( within the Dr's claim of your life expectancy) what time you have left. ACCORDING to the Doctor.
You have so much more right now than many others who go to work and never know they won't see their family again.
My youngest brother is also going through this and he feels much the same way you do - his answer - just get every thing done that needs to be done, see family and friends as soon as possible and make wonderful memories with and for them- clear up any misunderstandings or hurts from the past, forgive anyone who has hurt or caused any trouble for him in the past, keep his medical appointments and treatments up and for as long as has left make the most of every second he has.
I am a two time survivor of cancer, and spent a lot of time in the Cancer Clinic - I spoke with some amazing people - of all ages, the youngest was just over 16 and the eldest at the time was in the late 80s.
The message was always the same, give yourself a little time to get used to the diagnosis and gain strength for the treatment, then FORGET ABOUT IT.
HUH! That's what I said. Forget about it, spend time with happy people, watch funny, silly, delightful movies, walk in the sunshine, by the sea side, amongst the trees. Notice the blue skies and beautiful flowers.
Fill your soul with joyous things, each day you waken be grateful for another day to live and share with others.
Sadness and gloom can cause your cancer to spread quickly - happiness and joy and living life to the fullest fills you with the energy of living and brings the strength to fight.
You don't owe this to anyone else love, you owe it to YOURSELF.
You will have sad days and some rather beastly days as well, but try and be as happy and joyous as you can be, It does help.
Do you have a support group? people, family or friends to help you through this. If you want someone to talk to - send me an email - I'd be very happy to talk with you.
Be strong and do your best to smile several times every day and laugh out loud at least once each day.
My thoughts are with you.

What do you want to do? Go out in style! Do things you would not normally do. Throw a HUGE party with all your friends, neighbors, relatives, get a crazy haircut, if chemo/radiatino has taken your hair get a wild wig, eat a whole pizza and always, ALWAYS order dessert!! Please make sure you are at peace with everything in your life. Make ammends with your worst enemies...you will feel so fulfilled once you do that. You have been given a time limit, but it's not guaranteed, it could be sooner it could be much later...so do what makes you happy!! Call some friends, rent a limo and stay out all night!! And never act as if you are already gone...leave a legacy. I'm sorry to hear of your diagnosis but it's a been a pleasure to talk to you. My aunt also has terminal cancer. She has 3-5 mths left and has a hospice nurse come in a check on her. I love her and so glad our families have mended their fences. I will add you to my prayers. Take care and good luck. But most of all...LIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE FULLEST!!!! If your ever in TN give me a shout and I'll take you out for dinner!!

I'm sorry to hear about your condition. Seriously I hope you'll recover. What you can do is..
1. Don't give up!! God works in a miracle way, you know...
2. Get spiritual. I don't know what your religion is, but have faith in your religion. All religion teaches us that God is All-Powerful, hence He has the power to recover your. Seek God!
3. Do all the things that you've longed to do before, as long as it does not go against the law.
4. Keep in touch with your friends. At your condition, you can now see if your friends and relative truly cares about you.
5. Keep yourself busy. Don't idle around or else you'll get depressed.
and finally, be strong!!
I know this won't help.. but all death are certain.. take care..
I hope this will get you through your tough time..

I would quit school and find a way to travel all over the world, spend a lot of time with my family, and if you have children I would leave something for them to remember me by. Like a video recording and leave them something special maybe a piece of jewelry if your child is a girl.

how i see it
3 views(can have more than 1):
1.physical- visit all the places you've wanted to go to. for me when i think of this i think of mountains(in china, cuz im chinese) or a nice beach with a cove.
2.spiritual- prepare for the afterlife or etc.
3.social-get in touch with ur friends n family like never be4.
knowledge can always be obtained. if u die, earthly knowledge will be useless. if u live, go learn. it only requires the will to learn.
