Chris Matthews and his continued infinite wisdom and the proponent of "elect the guy you want to have a beer with" is now touting the virtues of making a soul connection in honor of Oprah's endorsement of Obama. Can't we get a pundit who focuses let's say on the war or Bush's mismangement and other illegal activities.
Why does the media to continue to focus on these gut level emotions instead of sticking to the issues?

I would like to see each night a single candidate picked, showing his/her voting record, telling about their background, highs and lows of their careers, how they work with the other party, etc. That would be informative to me. I also like to see them spotlight the candidates with interviews but they don't get very in depth.

I don't like the spots about how they are attacking each other or who has more clout to the voters, Oprah or Bill. I want some real news and something to base my vote on besides attack ads and entertainment segments that try to anger me or demonize someone for some silly thing.

Because that's what the ignorant people of the USA wants. They devour that sh*t up. Because they know, that as long as they "give them cake", they have a secure job and they can steer away from attacking real problems, to which they have no solution or non-bias opinions. For example: The Ripublicons hate Hollywood, however they are the only ones with actors in nominations or in office, you know, Reagan, Arnold, Thompson, people that can manipulate emotions. And you know it's the good old American way of doing things, "Gut Instincts", "Have Guts", "Gut Feelings", "Right in the Gut", but what they don't realize is that the "GUTS" only carry "SH*T".

Probably because it's politics and it's a dirty business. Besides the whole World already knows what a screw up Bush has been. I'm a lot sicker of hearing about Bush, to the point of I'd rather watch Barney. And I hate Barney.

The media is counting on the data it's been fed -- that most of America is quite stupid, and will react to all of the issues emotionally.

There isn't anyone who is "allowed" to speak about the REAL issues. They've all been bought or killed.

Unless America (including the ones who are supposed to be stupid!) stands up and DOES something about all the crimes committed in its name, it will go on. And on. And on....
