Do any of you think if I clipped several of the coupons out that I could possibly get a new car for free??
I took law in high school and remember learning why they limit 1 per customer on ALL coupons now was because of a similar case back in the day. A woman clipped out a bunch of coupons that didn't have any limitations, took them to the car dealer, they refused to give her a free car. She took it to court and won. What do we say aboot this?
There are also absolutely no limitations printed on this coupon!

Are you sure, the dealership hasn't printed a retraction or a change in policy to the coupon. That is allowed, and not necessarily known to you without going to find out at the dealership.

Find out the price of the car you want in dollars. Divide that price by 500. Round this number off to the nearest larger whole number. Now take that number of coupons to a car sales place in Canada and get your new car. Sounds like a winner to me. Wish I would have thought about it first because they are going to be plenty upset when you go driving out of there in a new car and don`t leave any thing but coupons. I figure they will have set a limit on the number of coupons you can use by the time I can get my coupons together and haul *** up there.

it might be *legal* to get that car for free, (though I'd check it out with a lawyer or someone who knows what they're doing with this stuff), but it seems a tad sneaky. It could end up badly for you. Plus, in the end, how would you feel if you were the dealership owner and felt obligated to give cars away for free? That's someone else's livelihood.
in any case, is it normal for dealerships to have $500 off vouchers? seems a bit shady to me-
it's probably best to do the honest thing and avoid any legal ramifications, and perhaps gett a better quality car out of it as well.

That happened on the Simpsons, Marge started a pretzel business and had dollar off coupons without a limited printed on it. Cletus used 500 of them. Enjoy your new car!

What about on the page where the ad was printed? Were there any diclaimers? Did the coupon specify a specific model or stock number? Canadian laws are slightly different than U.S.

The full rules of the rebate maybe available at the dealer. That would be good enough to limit you.

There are laws that are called "fair use" which deal with the intent of these sorts of offers in place that would preclude you doing what you suggested.
These laws protect good intented offers from being abused by malintention attempts such as what you suggested.

What car sales place was this? Make sure it also doesn't say "conditions are subject to change without notice" or some garbage like that - because they pull that one on you too. Worth a try isn't it?
& for those who are calling out about "ethics" and "morals" - these are things that automobile companies don't have. Therefore, you can't apply 'ethics' and 'morals' when dealing with them.

Well it depends if you want to go to hell or not.
[edit] Seriously dude - why don't a whole bunch of you go up there and send the place out of business? If you want a car, you should earn the money and buy it, not try to cheat somebody out of it.
When in doubt, try to do the right thing. For once in your life.
AM I MAKING MYSELF CLEAR?

Check the WHOLE ad, not just the coupon. Look for fine print... and check your conscience too. I doubt they'd give you one for free.
