Liberal is not a "bad" word as fox news and others try to make it out to be. I personally am proud to be called a liberal.

Take a look at the definition of liberal - broad minded, marked by generosity, emphasis on individual freedom, a basis on progress, the essential goodness of the human race, and standing for the protection of political and civil liberties.

I say go ahead and label us; call me a liberal, progressive, a free thinker; I view it as a compliment.

Using the term liberal is throwing out a huge net. Each of the labelers has a stereotype in mind when they use that word. Some users think liberals are idealistic, communist or atheists. Being called a liberal is doing me a favor when I see what kind of person is doing the calling. I'm sure that the first caveman to witness another caveman start a fire thought, "That liberal is going to threaten the rest of us, anger our gods and make a cave woman equal to a cave man!" lol

12 heads means there are 12 animals in total. 38 feet means the total feet of the animals is 38. As a cow has 4 and a duck has 2 the answer can be found to be 7 cows and 5 ducks (28 + 10 = 38)

I use the words liberal, neo-con, conservatives as descriptive words. That's what they are, descriptive words and none of those terms bother me. I'm more amused at terms such as libtard, Hitlary, etc. because it makes you wonder about the IQ of the user and one cannot help how smart or not so smart they are. You can't hold one's IQ against them. So that's the only way it effects my opinion of the asker. Their questions and answers are sort of like smart gauges.

Liberals use the word "conservative" as a negative, what's the problem here? None. Liberal and conservative are descriptive terms about people's political beliefs, if someone wishes to use those terms in a negative way, so be it, they every right to disagree with the opposing side.

I don't consider liberal as a negative, I describe myself as leaning liberal in my profile. Those that attempt to use liberal as an insult have never opened the covers of a dictionary and compared liberal to conservative.

It affects my opinion of the asker. When askers use the word conservative as a negative, it also affects my opinion. We all have our convictions - and I can't stand either extreme.

When they understand the ideology of liberalism. The infantile comments on this forum are quite irritating yet, they are not meant to be taken serious. A large majority of users on here still have not grasped the meaning or definition of liberal. It's those "I wanna jump on the bandwagon" users who are consistently using the word "liberal" as an insult. Many people based their judgments off silly stereotypes e.g. liberals are all atheist, liberals embrace welfare, liberals are enablers, liberals hate America, liberals hate our troops, liberals are socialist and commies, the list goes on. These comments about liberals are stale and tiresome.

Why are liberals afraid of the label liberal? I am liberal in a lot of areas and the label fits. I am also conservative in some areas (social, finances) and thus conservative fits. A LOT of democrats, nationally, cringe when people refer to them as liberal, yet their stance and their record support the liberal label. What gives....
