you have to have a big enough tank for the pleco seeing as they can get to almost 2 feet and it depends on which species of dinosaur eel it is seeing as they can get 12-30 inches some even 60 (they are bichirs) 12 inches only apply to certain species as it was said before the convicts will be fine (with no future kids of course) in a 29 gallon tank but the rest won't

Have to agree with Finatic about the pleco. And it's not a matter of "If" you are breeding if you have convicts of different genders. Unless you have two females, they WILL be spawning.

And in a 29 gallon tank, it will look odd when the convicts are occupying 3/4 of the area and the other fish are cowering in the opposite corner from where the eggs are laid.

You'd do far better in a 75 gallon tank.

I'm not sure about the dinosaur eel, but it will definitely do well with a pleco.

Whether or not you are breeding these fish, you still should not keep these fish in a 29 gallon tank.
