I am sorry for your loss of the toy. Seeing as you are an adult, I think it's time to let go of the toy and play with your wife. You were probably showing too much attention to the toy and your wife was probably getting jealous, hence the reason why she destroyed it. There is nothing you really can do about the toy seeing as you stated it was from Eastern Europe. Now you can show your attention to your wife.

That is very sad and I feel for you. The chick is obviously something that cannot be replaced, it had sentimental value.

Why would your wife do this to you? Did she know how much it meant to you? Could it have been the peeping was annoying her and she couldn't figure out how to stop it peeping? In which case she could have put it in a draw wrapped up in layers of blankets or clothes to muffle the noise and asked you how to turn it off when you got home.

I would ask why she felt she needed to destroy something that you held so dear.

Even if you could get another one, would it really be the same? I would say keep a part of it to remember it by and remember all the good times you had with it.

I do believe your wife was wrong to destroy it.

I'm sorry you have had to lose something so important to you.

Why would she do such a thing? That was really mean. You can save the pieces of it that are left but if she finds out, she'll probably get rid of it. Why would she do something so mean to someone she supossedly loves? Did you do something to make her really mad and want to get you back? That kind of deliberate cruelty just doesn't make any sense to me. Why are you with a woman that can be so heartless about something that was so dear to you? That isn't love sweetheart. Love doesn't do that. If she didn't like the chick peeping she could have just taken the batteries out. But to completely destroy it. Dang dude. You can't replace the baby chick, but you CAN replace the mean chick (wife).

That was down right mean so turn the tables on her. Give her a taste of her own medicine. She may be your wife but she doesn't respect you nor your childhood memories nor your belongings. She had no right to touch anything of yours. I'm a wife and I would never think of destroying anything of my husbands. Fine out what she owns that is sentimental to her and do her the same way. Or you can just wait until Karma pays a visit to her. You reap what you sow.

Get over it. Although it may be a cherished keepsake from your childhood, it doesn't dictate your happiness. For every memory that we lose, we replace it with another. Leave the past right where it is, behind you. If you are constantly looking behind you, then it is impossible to look forward to anything.

If your wife destroyed it deliberately I would divorce her. She intentionally went out of her way to cause you pain. If it was an accident I would forgive her. How did it get destroyed?

Okay...Here it is...You married a baby chick killer. She hates baby chicks. So never...ever bring another baby chick home, or you know what will happen to it. I guess she really had some bad moe-joe with some baby chick from her past. Count your blessings that she didn't come after you.

That is really sad she destroyed something of such sentimental value. I think the first thing is to figure out why.

Did she destroy it on purpose, or was it an accident? In any case, forgiveness is the best course of action.
