I already replaced the gasket and the tank bolts but when I flush a lot of water comes out the back where the tank meets the bowl.

You can try and tighten the bolts. However it's easy to crack the porcelain so not to tight. The bolts maybe rusted too. I would get new bolts and a new gasket.

No just replace the gasket. it is the quickest and probably will be the least problem that way. you can play with trying to adjust the bolts tighter and evenly but you will end up changing the gasket. A long time ago I watch a plumer work and that was the secret to life. Use new parts don't try to repair old stuff. it can wind up costing more than using new parts and it does not take as long and they do not have to come back when they are done.

Make sure the tank to toilet bolts are evenly tight. It's possible that the gasket is dry and cracked and needs to be replaced.
Remember that it's pretty easy to crack the toilet, so don't over-tighten the bolts.

You probably disturbed one of the 2 bolts that hold the top tank to the bottom of the toilet. As the bolts get older they tend to rust, and can rust through! Be carefull when you check them out because if they aren't rusted through they may break off when you see if they are tight.

sounds like the wrong gasket for your toilet, there are several different kinds.
