i guess the biggest thing is the fact that my dad left when i was 2 and i had to grow up without him, but i assume it was for the best because he was a terrible drunk and a woman beater and he beat me when i was a baby and mom told him to hit the road, in turn she was stuck raising me as a single mom, and had to work long hard hours to make ends meet and we were never well off, we moved around a lot so i went from one school to another until middle school. i made some bad choices because of the lack of supervision as a teenager and wound up pregnant at 14 with a 12 yr. old boyfriend who had no intentions of helping me. and that just added to my poor mom's burdens. i think that my life could of been so much better and normal if he would have been present and decent.

A friend of mine is working on her Masters Degree in child studies. Every paper she's written in the past couple of years that has anything to do with a negative childhood experience, I've been through.

I almost died from whooping cough when I was 14 months old. I have always had a terrible fear of suffocating since.

My mother has always yelled at me and criticized me a lot. I love my mom and am not trying to denigrate her, but that has left me with no self confidence.

My parents not loving or caring about me, And they still dont. Now I dont know how to let someone love me or to love someone back.

the death of a close friend, she drowned when we were in first grade... now i have a fear of helicopters because i remember watching the copter searching for her all day.
