I'm wondering if pre-menopause means you may skip a period now and then. If you never miss a period but are in your 40's can you still be pre-menopause? If you're completely regular each month would that rule out being pre-menopausal?

You really didn't mention anything that would signify menopause. My periods were every 28 days, I had an ovarian cyst and sometimes get hot flashes at 31 years old...I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant and am definitely not going through menopause :-)

If you are over 35 you can be perimenopausal, if you are in your 40's you are most deninately in it. If you are regular each month, no, you could have other symptoms. Remember, it's your ovaries that are losing their youth here and you can still have a period but not be ovulating and not know it.
