My ford Contour's battery indicator on Dash light up whenever engine rev. over 1000??

The car start fine and will not drain the battery when car is shut off. But it will kill a new battery after driving for 2 hrs. And also when it rev. over 1500 all the light in the car get darker dramatically.. why??

Something wrong with the alternator, remove it and take it into AutoZone and they will test it for you.
