1st off, without proper diagnostics you cannot get a proper repair...with that being said...

2nd, the best method to both increase the life of your tires and keep them in good shape is to have them rotated every 6 months, what this does allows your alignment to wear evenly among all 4 tires not just on 2.

3rd, have your front end alignment checked every 2 yrs, this allows your car to drive straight as you drive down the road.

4th, maintain the proper tire pressure in your tires, there should be a sticker on the inside of your drivers door that will tell how much the manufacturer recommends in your tires, I.E. 32psi. Proper tire pressure will help with tire wear and also help maintain your fuel mileage.

5th, AND MOST IMPORTANT, don't run over debris and junk in the middle of the road or over curbs as they will cut and puncture tires, speed bumbs and potholes are no problem.

Good luck and hope this helps.

The general rule is to check the air pressure when refilling your gas tank, which is also a good time to check your fluids. The tires should be rotated every 5000 miles or during every other oil change.

1. Make sure alignment is within specs
2. Maintain proper pressure
But it really would make sense for you to share what kind of vehicle you are talking about. Just a thought...
