A great free thinker of the late 18th century, a sometimes friend of George Washington, and altogether a man ahead of his time. He believed "My country is the world, and my religion is to do good", a philosophy that got him in trouble with lots of more authority-minded people. Thomas Paine was this really famous guy who wrote a book, changing the views of the coonists. He debated that the British were unfair to them and stated that the colonists had unlienable rights. Which were rights you had when you were born.

He happens to be my ancestor. Great uncle or something.

He was an author, he wrote several books during the Revolutionary war timeframe.

He wrote about politics, and religion, and he was a great influence on our forefathers.
