A rectangular piece is trimmed to make a square by cutting 4cm off top and 2cm off one side. If the area of the original piece is 74 cm greater than the area of the square, find the dimensions of the rectangle.

x = side of square
rectangle was (x+4) by (x+2)

(x+4)*(x+2) = x^2 +74
x^2 + 6x + 8 = x^2 +74
6x = 66
x = 11
rectangle was 15 by 13
