I am going to go see if i can find some cheap second hand suits. I don't need them for a specific reason but I should walk with a cane and would feel more comfortable if i looked good. Anyway, anything I should look for, I will be washing them at home in the machine; certain materials? Any recomendations where to get such a thing?

Thrift stores.

Or try Marshalls. I've seen $100 suits which are designer brands.

If you want to look good, a cheap suit isn't the way to do it. Certainly not something you would wash in the machine.

For a suit to look halfway decent, it needs to fit you properly and be reasonably in style. You might have trouble finding anything second hand that meets those conditions.

For a suit to look good, you want a fair amount of wool content. (Don't worry - they won't be hot or itchy.) One hundred per cent wool is best.

Check your local yellow pages for men's wear. You can get some decent (not great but acceptable) suits at many department stores. Spend a wee bit more money and get something that you'll feel good in.

Another option is to get a sports jacket and 2 or 3 pairs of coordinating pants. The jacket is the most expensive part of a suti so this will give you more flexibility at less cost.

Again, think wool. It drapes better than most other fabrics.

Try the Goodwill, or Salvation Army. They have some great bargains. You may be surprised. Look on the label for washing instructions.
Have fun!
