I am sorry to hear that. I am going through the samething with my daughter. I have been married for 15 years and been separated for 2 months. I have 12 year old daughter. My advice to you, is to support your mother and let her know matter what happens, you will always love her and be there for her. She needs some support and needs her family, your family will not see her a failure, I felt the same way, but I know that I am not failure, things just are not working out and need space to think. It must be tough on her because she has last your father and now your step father, she is scared of being alone. Just tell you mother, you need her to be strong and that she will always have you, and famliy will never be alone. She is not failure. If she is good mother to you let her know. Also take time to pray to God to ask him to give your mother guidance and strenght. If you need someone talk to with, please email anytime. God Bless you and remember this in not your fault. I am not sure what your age is.

As you sound quite young, there isn't much that you can do or say. Comfort your Mom, and be nice to your stepdad too. They may not really know what is wrong.
