it stands for gigabyte. this tells how much memory for games, music, photos, and videos you can put on your ps3. And NO, you cannot buy more memoryfor the ps3. When you buy your ps3 you buy it with either 20gb, 60gb, or 80gb.

GB stands for Gigabytes and that is how much storage space is in the PS3.

You can buy a Bigger Hard drive for the PS3 if it gets full. Also if it gets full you can transfer everything from your old hard drive to your new bigger hard drive.

If you are a gamer that downloads a lot of stuff, will put a lot of music, photos, videos on the PS3 and will play a lot of PS3 games on the PS3, I think that it would be good to buy the 80GB PS3 or just buy a 250GB hard drive for the PS3.
