My doc said if it is light spotting and not bright red then it is fine. I would still call your doc and ask before you have sex again- don't take and chances.

During pregnancy, blood flow increases to the pelvic region to help the baby and placenta grow. In the process, the cervix and vagina become slightly swollen and delicate, making them easier to irritate during sex. Spotting or light bleeding is quite normal, and as long as it's not heavy bleeding and it stops soon after, you are probably fine. Do mention it to your doctor, but don't panic. This happened to me a couple of times and it was very startling, but everything was a-ok. Good luck and congrats!

I would say it depends on if your spotting or actually bleeding. My doc told me that it's normal to have spotting/bleeding after sex when you're pregnant because of the sensitivity your cervix has. If it's a significant amount, I would call your doctor, nothing is better than peace of mind. Good luck to you. =)

With my first pregnancy this happened. My doctor told me it was coming from my cervix which was very sensitive for some reason, and so I had to stop having sex until I entered the 2nd trimester. Then I got into my 2nd trimester and ended up having placenta previa so my husband and I couldn't have sex until after the baby was born.

it more than likely is just your cervix, If it is alot of blood I would call the doctor. Otherwise it is very common you should be fine. Good luck Congratulations.
