A dork is someone stupid or ridiculous.
A nerd is really smart and usually obsessed with a "nonsocial hobby" like computers or reading or schoolwork.
A geek is an expert in smething like computers, or someone peculiar and overly intellectual.

So geek and nerd are very similar to each other, but a dork is dislikable in a totally different way. Hope I helped!

Dork is usually a bad name, it's a person with no skills and poor socialization.

A Geek is someone who may or may not lack social skills (I'm a geek and am very socially adept) but will excel at or be intensely interested in an area (or family of areas) of a knowledge or skill. Somebody can be a geek about baseball, just as they are a geek about Star Wars. One is more acceptable in our society than the other.

A Nerd is pretty much like a geek but almost always has poor social skills and tends to focus their "geeking" in areas of knowledge - the sciences, computers, etc.

Dork=This is more a way of life then anything. Someone who has sooooo much time on their hands that they can memorize or break down to a science, useless info (ex. a 28 yr old that knows every character or move in, i dunno, Dragon ball Z... or like, WOW player... we're usually dorks because you have to do just that to be good at it) at the same time this can also refer to people who are the wall flowers or just often get over looked, they are just there, or so it appears. They are often considered dumb or just slackers.(ex: watch superbad... they are good example of dorks)

Geek=A geek is more a look then anything else... its a physical thing you can actually SEE someone as, they do not have to be nerdy or dorky... they appear to be nerd-ish but they are not, they can fall between the looks of a nerd, dork, or just wear polo shirts and flip flops... like I said, its all about the look... but at the same time, their mind set's are usually very careless, like they can care less what other people think of them, very confident within their own skin. (ex: Jason Mraz... he's a geek, but a hot 1)

Nerd=This is a mind set, just someone who enjoys reading, knowledge, studies when necessary and loves to break down almost everything and anything they run into. by this I mean they want to know about it, so they do research... I fall under this too so I know. Contrary to popular belief it is not JUST the look, as hot chicks can be nerds too, but people like to call people they do not like or just misunderstand a nerd, or just someone annoying, but this is incorrect, though it is a slang of todays youth. like I said, its just the mind set (ex: If you catch yourself becoming excited over the idea of running home to look up the background, what's, why's and how's of random things you run into on a daily basis like food, animals or just whatever and you genuinely enjoy it... you might be a nerd!!!)

A geek and a nerd however are closer related between the 3 words.

LETS SEE THE BREAKDOWN 1 MORE TIME....

If you collect power ranger cards and comics... you might be a dork.

If you find yourself walking walking out the house in flip flops no matter your outfit... you might be a geek.

If you are reading this from a library as you are researching the "fire-ants way of life" because you ALMOST steped on one this morning on your way out of the house... you might be a nerd.

If you know every line to FF VII and have anticipated its long time coming remake/sequal with Clouds best friend/mentor... Actually, if you even know what that stands for without me having to explain it, lol, you might be a dork (for all you newbs, thats Final Fantacy 7 the game).

If you catch youself doing embarrassing weird/ corny things others only do when they are drunk, but you genuinely couldn't give a rats *** who was looking including you crush... you might be a geek.

and finally, If you have done your own studies and researching proving everything you have ever learned back in school or even in college was not even close to what the real truth is (health, History, Science or even economics)... watch out now... you just MIGHT be a nerd... lol

For those who disagree or try to debate, lets take it to the dictionary shall we???

Dork: slang, A stupid, inept, or foolish person.

Geek: a peculiar or otherwise dislikable person, esp. one who is perceived to be overly intellectual. a carnival performer who performs sensationally morbid or disgusting acts
(key word is percieved)

Nerd: a stupid, irritating, ineffectual, or unattractive person.
2. an intelligent but single-minded person obsessed with a nonsocial hobby or pursuit: a computer nerd.

So there you have it, the break down and the full meanings, sadly enough, today, they are more used in the slang terms as I discussed, but I hope that answered your question, I am bored and had a lil time on my hands:-)

A dork is someone you think is overrated, stupid, or ya just dont like him/her.

i say its called a SYNONYM *personally dork is the coolest of the three (funny stupid person who does crazy things)
