Cave men used animal furs and skin to keep them warm during cold whether long ago, we still do it now, we'll continue do it in the future. It's nature's way. I think you're right. Instead of letting things like fur go to waste, use it. Let the animal rights activists protest in Africa in front of the starving people who use every single inch of an animal in order to survive.

I think that the point that vegans/PETA makes is that usually, the animals are bred and grown for their fur only, and they're not used for their meat. And the conditions in which these animals are kept are quite appaling. Likewise with the tactics used to kill them, as to not damage the fur. For example, stomping on a fox's neck.
But I do agree with you on some of the point you touched upon. Its important to be aware of other animals, but a lot of times PETA takes their issues to the extreme. For example, urging people to stop consuming cow's milk. Milking a cow does not harm it! On the contrary, cows are harmed and in pain if they are NOT milked on a regular basis.
PETA is even against owning household pets! They have put to death countless animals that they 'saved' from animal shelters.
Talk about a terorrist organization...

Honey, they don't make fur coats out of animals that were killed for meat. Animals are raised strictly for their fur. They are raised in less than great conditions and when they are killed and skinned, the rest of the animal, like all the meat, goes to waste.

We, as a society, don't eat foxes, or minks, and for the most part we don't eat much rabbit either. Those animals are skinned to make a coat, and the bare carcasses are tossed aside to rot anyway.

It depends, chinchillas are killed solely for their fur. I don't agree with that. But when it comes to cows, sheep, people will eat it, so why would you waste the fur/skin? If you're going to kill it, use as much of it as possible. I agree with u mostly. ^^ Happy Holidays! -Keke

the people who are are vegetarians and vegans beleive that animals are there naturally, we should not breed them for our own purposes. Naturally, animals get eaten by other animals, and humans too... but really, haven't you heard of the horrible conditions these animals are being raised in just so that we can eat them? They aren't just random cows being picked out of the wild...
