I was wondering, because several times I feared something new, and afterwards, I realized it wasn't bad at all, but I still fear it beforehand.

yes, a lot of people fear change. It is common and NORMAL to not want to change, but it is also common and normal for change to be good. The best thing to do is take a step back from your emotions on the situation and think about it logically. Is change a good move right now? weigh the pros and cons of change then make your decision. Of course hind sight is 20/20, but you will never know unless you try.

Sounds like anxiety over the unknown,... anticipating danger or pain, embarrassment and the like connected with a new experience or situation... ...I imagine this could be quite stressful at times...have you ever tried the rubber band on the wrist , just gently tweak (ping) it if you feel anxious ...that will remind you of the reality of the situation ...
