Distribute twenty apples among ten students in class, 20/10 = 2 apples for each student
And, distribute ten apples among ten students in class, 10/10 = 1 apple for each student
Now, distribute ten apples when there is zero student (no students in the class). 10/zero= then why it is always infinity for each student. And why is not = 0 or 10 ( because nothing is distributing and 10 apples are still there waiting for distribution) OR impossible division.

Division can be defined as taking a group and constantly pulling out a smaller number until you run out. Count how many groups you pull out and you have your answer. For example:

10 divided by 2:
Pull out 2: 8
Pull out 2: 6
Pull out 2: 4
Pull out 2: 2
Pull out 2: 0
There are five groups, so the answer is 5:

Now try 10 divided by 0:
Pull out 0: 10
Pull out 0: 10
Pull out 0: 10
Pull out 0: 10
Pull out 0: 10
Pull out 0: 10
Pull out 0: 10
Pull out 0: 10
Pull out 0: 10
Pull out 0: 10
Pull out 0: 10
Pull out 0: 10
Pull out 0: 10
Continue to repeat until there are zero left. . . Not going to happen, hope you have nothing to do . . . ever! 8)

Like the first person said, dividing by zero is undefined, not infinity. Infinity would be {insert infinity sign here} divided by 1.
Punch it into a calculator..what's it say? Can't divide by zero? Domain error? Error? All mean the same thing, UNDEFINED! [or extraneous depending on the problem]

It is impossible division.

Sometimes it is not misleading to say that 1/0 (or 10/0 or whatever) is "infinity". But more often it is indeed misleading.

Anything divided by zero = undefined, not infinity.
