Lately, I've often found myself fearing that people are reading my mind, and/or watching me. I always get nervous then.

Sometimes we all go through these phases, but I hope it doesn't last too long.
Guess what? others aren't interested in reading your mind, they're too busy worrying about what you think about THEM!

In this technological age it is more than likely it is happening to a lot of people the auditory and visual surveillance that is, I'm not sure about the mind reading as that is a bit too Sci-Fi and I can't think of a possible way for mind reading but if we go into the realm of Sci-Fi I could come up with some scenarios like a chip inplanted in the brain at birth sending out brain activity that is then decoded by some super computer but you can wear a tin foil hat to stop the signal, but in real life I find it doubtful. Though I have these same thoughts you are not alone.

Hey check out the movie "The Final Cut" you might like it.

People can't read your mind. Maybe they are watching you, but out of curiosity and maybe admiration, or because your in front of what they are looking at. Whenever I hear people who think other people are so interested in them, I wonder what they think is so wonderful or interesting or important about THEM that would make other people want to look. When a person asked me if I believe I was under surveillance by the government, I said, "No. I don't think I'm that important that they would want to know." Do you think you are that special or important in a way that other people want to know what you think? Sure, everyone is special in God's eyes, but that's with love.

If you find that your concerns are keeping you from functioning in social situations, you might want to talk to a professional about them. If it's just a little nagging feeling, it's a lot more common than you think. Everyone feels like they're under scrutiny at times.

Take it easy. It's normal. Isnt it good for them to read your mind and do what you want without you telling them. Dont need to be nervous but be confident of yourself

Yes it is normal, you are just being a little self concience when you are around others.Eventually, when you get more social experience, you will stop thinking about it.
