it deserves a better set up. it is about 4" i'd say.
Turtles are messy and i hate cleaning the water. i want to have a perfect set up where it don't get messy at all. like some sort or drain plug or some auto cleaning tank. you know. how do i make it easy to maintain this turtle. he's smelly and a real mess. I don't know if they any filters or tanks that are made so i don't have to do squat. by the way my turtle's name is turdy. Even sense the turtle was little it always pooped. So it's name is turdy hahahahah, get it?

He wants three things.
1. Good water- at least 40 gallons of water (10 gallons per inch of shell length), warmed to about 75-80F, and very clean.
A common solution here is a large plastic tub- a sturdy one. Fill most of the way, get a good water heater or two, and buy a BIG external filter (aim for a filter for a 200-300 gallon tank, or a couple of smaller 100-200 filters). A siphon cleaner can be used every week to vac off the floor of the tank and change about 1/4th of the water.
2. Good sun. Make a safe, easily accessed basking place and warm it to about 90F. Light the rest of the habitat attractively.
3. Good food. About 1;/2 pellets and 1/2 live or frozen/thawed 'fish foods' like small fish, krill, shrimp, beef heart, worms, etc.

Get a good tank [ex: 60 gallon]...get a good filter [ex: 2x for a 60 gallon filter]...it will clean more better.
