I live on the internet (highspeed.. it doesnt really change your life until you have high speed bc you cant do all the stuff on dial up).. literally.. I hang out on the net, research on the net, play on the net, converse on the net, shop on the net. Read on the net. I have access to things that I would never have access to without. I havnt been to library outside of looking for something specific in years. I buy most of books as ebooks and read on the comp. I buy most of my music online as mp3 files. The list goes on. I am even going to go back to school online.
The Cell Phone.. I am one of those people who no longer has a land line of any type, not even voip. It is my cell and my cell only. Well, my two cells. I dont feel like the phone 'has to be answered' as my parents do who grew up with a reg land line with no caller id.(I grew up with that too, but had a cell at 18, never went back). I have phone access anywhere I go, I can see who is calling. If I am busy I can call back later. And I have voicemail, so if it is impt and Idont anwer the phone, they leave a msg.
Digital Photography.. I love pics and love taking pics and love editing pics. With film, that is one expensive hobby. With digital you can take as many pics as you want. Edit as much as you want. And only print the pics you want. With film, you have to print everything. If you want to play you have to pay out the wazoo to rent a dark room and the chemicals and the paper and film. With digital, after the intial expense of the camera, memory card and software, you choose how much you want to spend by choosing which pics you want to print after you edit and play. So now I can play with taking pics and editing a lot more than I could before. I love it.

1. It has made our lives easier in many cases We can now use technology to make research a breeze. With the computer and related technologies, tasks that used to take hours, days, months or longer take a fraction of that time. Look how easy it is to get answers to your questions just by using this service! 2. We are a global society Technology has bridged the physical distance between not only you and someone living in another town, but between you and someone living in another country. With a few clicks of a mouse of pushes of a button you can communicate with just about anyone at anytime of day. This allows for more streamlined business processes to take place and increased communication. 3. On the downside, we have become a society accustomed to getting what we want when we want it--bigger, faster, stronger. We have less patience. Companies want it cheaper and faster and thus have taken to finding workforces that will provide cheap service (leaving many without jobs in the process). We have increased spending, increased waste, and increased pollution. These are just three that popped into my head. If this is or a paper, you'll need to make sure you back up your reasons and provide solid details. Hopefully this gives you something to work with.

(1) The Microwave Oven: It came in very handle,on the weekends, when I did'nt fell like cooking, and by that time,my kids were old enough to use it themselves.
(2) Caller ID-Call Waiting: This is my favorite!. I don't like talking on the phone too much, and especially to those I don't want to talk to. (You know?) Like Telemarketers. Easy to see who's calling, and easier, for me to ignore the call!.
(3) Computers: I can find something faster on the Internet, than I can in the phone book. It's like having the world in your hands, with the stroke of a key.
