if it is, can you tell me if i can download it and where? what about any programming languages besides qbasic, are any or them free?

There is a free version of Pascal available at http://www.freepascal.org/

I used to program in Turbo Pascal from Borland Inc years ago, but that program does not work under Windows.

I assume you talk about compiler that compiles Pascal code, the answer is not so for Microsoft users, but the best bet is Turbo Pascal for DOS by Borland but I wasn't paying attention to the fact if there is one for Linux.
