this senior is kinda like the teacher for one of my classes. the kids in the class are mostly freshmen. i'm also a freshman and i'm in that class. anyway, the person who is kinda like the teacher is named ja. ja kept picking on me and making me his favorite pet but i didn't talk to him much when he picked on me and stuff. a bit later, he moved on to these other two girls and now, he's making them his favorite pets. he's always joking and laughing with them. when i go to talk to him, he just looks at me boringly and answers me and walks away. it kinda makes me feel mad and jealous. what should i do? i'm very good in that class and ja is demotivating me.

First, I think it is important that your preferences and interests should not be dependent upon the behavior of others. It seems like the student-teacher needs to keep his interest up in class by feeling he has a "relationship" of sorts with some of his students. He tried with you, but you "cold-shouldered" him. Now, I am not making excuses for him; what he is doing is not exactly right and your reaction to him shouldn't matter, but apparently this is early in his career and he cannot play "professional" yet. Unfortunately, in this game you lose a little, but you get an answer, just not banter. I think being able to manage this situation requires maturity. The student is not expected to have it, but in this case, you have to show it. Hopefully there is not much left to your semester, and I hope you don't have any more consequences.

Why are you jealous? why don't you motivate yourself? and you didn't talk to him before so he moved on to make someone his pet. I think you should move on and concerate on your grade and not Ja. Ja is not your bf. Ja has nothing to do with you except for he's in your class.
