When King Duncan approaches Macbeth's castle I think he says "this castle hath a pleasant seat" or similar. His perception of the castle is pleasant. In fact, his death is being plotted within its walls.
Looks can be deceiving. So can first impressions.

Think about it. First of all, Macbeth uses the same phrase just a couple of pages later. And don't you think those words have a lot of meaning? They foreshadow the ambiguity that's found throughout the book and also tell you something about Macbeth's doom in the future.
