In the appeal, i need to explain why i want to drop a particular course. I have a non-academic reason (death in the family) but they asked me about my grades before that happen, well, I wasnt passing but I thought i could get it pulled up to passing at my last test and the final but the death in the family was unexpected and made me went down.
I dont know how to explain this so they could approve me but can u help me of what i could say..i really need a good explanation..

This is a tough situation for you. It is interesting to say that I also had a love one die and during a critical part of my life. However, it depends on the course. If the course is optional then you do have a choice. It is hard to answer your question without fully knowing the situation. The only advice I can give you is to tell them truthfully about your actions. It is very hard doing school work and such, because you are going through grief which is very natural. I skipped two weeks of school because of the death of a family member. There might be a better time to take the course or maybe there are other alternatives. Look for options. I know you can always improve, no matter what people say.
