You don't have the air rotated you just have the tires rotated and balanced and I used to be the Asst. Manager at An Express Oil Change and yes 50 is way too much unless you drive a dump truck or something......

Yes because they can't rotate the air in your tires they rotate your tires to a different position on your car. So if someone is charging you to rotate air.....You've paid too much.

I've never heard of rotating air. I've heard of rotating tires and filling them with air.

Yeah, sometimes in our mail we get coupons for that to be free in addition to any other services you get (like an oil change) or something similiar, but you gotta have the coupon. Either way, its still $20 here (Virginia)
