The answer to your question is YES - there were U.S. Marines at Normandy during D-Day.

But the U.S. Marines didn't land on the beaches of Normandy - they were assigned to U.S. Naval vessels and (as they did during the Revolutionary War) they were snipers from Ship to Shore.

Marines have been in every battle since their inception at Tunn Tavern Philadelphia back in 1775.

No. Army Rangers did those jobs. Marines fought mainly in the Pacific.
