I've nothing to hide but feel it's an invasion of my rights....
I'm travelling to the New York soon from the UK, i have no intentions of commiting an offence there...Hmmmmm unless ;-)

You MAY have the legal right to refuse, but the country you are traveling to has the right to refuse to let you in. If you don't follow their rules, don't expect them to allow you into the country.

Yes when ever i travel abroad i always leave my fingers with my girl friend ang for certain reasons i dont have to give my fingerprints.

You have the right to refuse, they have the right to refuse to let you in. You have the right to then spend part of your holiday in a cell until they put you on a plane back home.

Like Silvia, i don't understand the Egyptian distant places earnings any respect lol. yes you can refuse to co-operate then other, if not harsher action will be taken, your better just letting them take them.
however if you feel so strong about the infringement this will cause you then the simple thing is don`t travel.

If it has been made law by that particular country that you need to provide fingerprints to enter then no, you cannot refuse.

You can refuse to take a holiday at camp x guantanamo bay, but it doesn't mean you won't be going there.
