I think it's a minimum he should get...it's 23 months jail.

Adequate, she should have told the truth from the beginning. His sentence would have been a lot less. Vick is done as far as a Career in the NFL. the Commissioner has not had a say in the matter yet. He's most likely will kick him out the league.

I think it was very harsh. I have read so many postings about how he is such a horrible person, its nuts. I am not saying what he did was not wrong but 23 months of any persons life is a bit much for this. And the next person who says, "he should have gotten 23 years!",should bite a rotten apple and swallow. These are the same people who hunt deer, kill mice, and stomp ants. An animal is an animal just like a human is a human, a car is a car, etc... They may be different kinds but they are the same essentially. So who gives the right to say you can buy a license and a gun and kill these animals, but if you kill these you will go to jail. ONCE AGAIN I AM NOT DEFENDING VICK OR WHAT HE DID! just figured i would reiterate that, what he did was wrong but 23 months of this guys life for it? The biggest problem with this whole case is, he is rich. If this was some poor guy who did this everyone would say give the guy a break, but because he is a wealthy athlete(we won't even throw out the race card) he automatically needs to be given the worst possible sentence possible. Anyway people you got your sentence, it was almost the max( 1 month shy), so pat yourself on the back and feel good about it till another rich guy j-walks and you can yell " THROW THE BOOK AT HIM!".

I think it was about right. I love dogs, and I hope every dog fighter gets arrested and goes to jail. But for what Vick did, 23 months should give to learn from his mistakes. People that say he should of got more time, I'm sure have never been to prison. Vick lost 2 years of his life, a lot of money, and probably his career. It is a correctional facility, and I'm pretty sure he is going to fix some of the mistakes he has made with his time served.

I thnk they let him slide a lil bit. I mean 23 months in jail for killing all those dogs is not enough. And all the dogs that were alive when the feds searched his house got killed too thats just not right watching dogs fight just for money.

Ummm BengalsManiac?

First, OJ Simpson isn't in jail because the prosecution couldn't convict him, not because they decided that killing his wife didn't deserve punishment.

Second, Ray Lewis was NOT convicted of murder! He plead guilty to charges of lying to the police NOT taking part in the murder. That's a very different thing than being convicted of murder.

Third, anyone actually convicted of murder will get sentenced to a lot more than 23 months.

You're rant is stupid, pointless, inappropriate, uneducated and factually wrong.

By the way, the sentence was pretty much appropriate.

He completely avoided charges directly related to tax evasion, gambling, and racketeering, which traditionally carry heavy penalties.

Off hand, I'd say he should be very pleased with that sentence. He's lucky.

The Commonwealth of Virginia is still building its case however...

I think it should be worse, he killed many INNOCENT dogs for no reason. Vick doesn't deserve to come back to the NFL. When this first happened I didn't think anything should happen to vick then I saw videos of dogfighting and then i thought he should be banned for life.

I think that it is a fair sentence, the judges certainly should not go easy because he is a "celebrity"
