Is it worth downloading the new version? Has anyone try it yet?

Only difference is that you can play AAC files (which are a different kind of music file) during a slideshow, and you can put one of your own pictures on the wii menu in place of that ugly picture of a flower.
And as far as it being "worth it"...its free and takes about 6 secs to download, so sure

I think that the change to the photo channel occurs when you get the latest firmware update for the Wii.
Anyway, it doesn't really change that much, some new features are added to photo and video viewing. Also, the photo channel will no longer be able to play MP3 format songs. Only AAC.

I like it. Its not much different but it is still sweet. You can set a picture as an icon and now use a different music format. It takes about 3 seconds to download and it's free!
