My stepdad did the same thing to me when I was your age. NO, it's not fair, but when you are 13, nothing is fair. That's part of your problem. You sound like a whiny, spoiled kid who needs to grow up. Quit talking back and being a smart A** to your grandma, and maybe she won't do this again. I'm glad you learned your lesson- perhaps you'll think twice and count to ten before you open your mouth next time.

Heck yeah it's ok!!

Good thing your gramma went and got the switch! My dad used to make me go get my own.

More kids need a good butt whipping!

Don't talk back and respect your elders!

......dstluke... you're a whacko! Tell a 13 year old to leave her house? Obviously she's not getting beaten and tortured.. Hell, she's still got the internet!! Kids that don't get the right discipline are the ones going to jail and stealing and fighting..etc. Not saying that happens in all cases, but having your butt spanked is NOT illegal. Get your facts straight. A 13 year old will also stretch the truth. I doubt she was BEATEN. Yelling out to the world that her grandma spanked her butt with a switch for being a little brat will probably make most parents clap rather than look down their snooty noses like you. Parents are the ones in control... and they need to take control back and quit worrying about CPS and discipline their kids. There's a difference in discipline and abuse. As long as she got it on the butt and she's not bleeding, then the child will be fine and will probably think twice about back talking.

Let me make this clear. No one, not one single person, has the right to lay their hands or any other item on your body in any fashion you don't like. I don't care the reason they did it. That is your body. You live in it and it is no one else's. They don't have the right to use or abuse it in any way. If your family failed to stand up for you, then you stand up for yourself. You tell your grandmother that what she has done is wrong and illegal. That you will go and tell the authorities what she has done and if she ever, EVER, touches you in any manner again that you will see her in jail. Do not allow any member of your family to talk you out of this. Then you go to your school and you show them the results of this beating. Do not be embarassed. Hold your head up. This is not your doing or your fault. What happened to you is wrong and you need to be strong and tell someone. Tell everyone you can. Yell it from the rooftops if you can. Do not keep silent about this.

Also, if you can get out of the house now, do so. Go to a friend's or somewhere safe. Do not wait until your grandfather gets home. If your family asks why, tell them you do not feel safe there and you are going somewhere you feel safe. Tell them you will call the police if necessary to feel safe.

She should not be doing this. You are too old to have your pants pulled down in front of everyone. There are better ways to discipline you that do not involve hitting. No it is not fair and it is not right.

There's nothing fair to a 13 year old.

You must have really ticked grandma off!

It's fair! You're 13 do what you're told & don't talk back, then you won't get beat! It's very simple!

wow that's embarrasing!!!! well then i hate to say, try to stop talking back! your grandparents love you and they are doing what their parent's did to them in the old days, what they think is right. Yes it is unfair you are a bit too old, but there is nothing yahoo answers can do about it!!
