When I say old-fashioned, I'm talking about guys who always believe in being a gentleman. Guys who offer to pay for meals, guys who hold doors open for their dates and pull out chairs for them at the table, etc.

I'm 19 and I've always thought that being a gentleman was a good quality and I've always strived for that. It seems that most girls my age, though, tend to like the party animals. I don't really fit the mold of a party guy. I don't drink or smoke or have sex or any of that.

Old fashion guys sounds like the domineering type to me coz old fashion usually means someone who decides on everything and expect the woman to submit. If he decides on A, it means A. So if thats the type of old fashion I would say no thanks. Its not like I am a rebel. But most guys made stupid decision in life and I am not about to let myself being pulled down that way or being forced into doing something I do not wish to do. Old fashion guys make their woman sell banana fritters to make ends meet. Or they will sell her gold for money every other day. Modern guys sounds like someone who are more romantic, understanding and balanced when it comes to handling modern women. They will let their woman decide on what is best for her but at the same time will not abandon her emotionally or financially. They too open the door and pull chair for ladies. I'd say no to old fashion guys. These type of guys are still around in our community. They make women pay bills to support their lazy lifestyle.

being a gentlemen is way better than what women your age normally date. Stick to being a gentlemen their are very few of your breed. Though it is a fact that women tend to be more attracted to the jerk sort of guy, but those relationships never last. When you are about in your twenties women will really enjoy your gentlemen qualities, so stick to your true self and don't change for anyone.

It depends on the type of girl. I know a lot of girls with low self esteems who like jerks and dumbass guys. Then I know girls who are respectful and smart, and they usually have really high standards as far as who they go out with.
It also depends on what kind of environment the girl grew up in. If it was a decent homelife with good parents, she will be looking for a decent guy. If she grew up in a broken home or with alcohalic/dysfunctional parents, she will most likely go out with the jerks.

Well girls be honest...isn't it fun to play with those bad boys? But when you decide to get married then you are going to looking for a guy with a steady job and a good income. And you are probably want him to stay home and not be staying out late with the guys.

Yes, girls do like old-fashioned guys, but it takes most of them a few years to mature enough to really appreciate people like yourself. But, if you hang in there, you may find that special someone who appreciates you for being you. Believe me, they are out there, very scarce, but they are.
