i checked and it said that i have to buy something separate, i want to know if there's anyway around that.

You need a certain firmware around 3.03 and up i think and if you can download flash player it will be located under System Settings on your PSP. This will then download flash 6 but thats as high as is released you can't watch youtube videos on your PSP without custom firmware.
