Plants: I have an Amazon Sword Plant, Cryptocryne wendtti and Anacharis

Fish: 1 Platy, 2 Neon Tetras and 1 Cory

Thanks for the suggestion.

1. There is no way you can take the gallons of a tank and immediately form an exact number of fish you can keep in that tank. Could you put 12 Neon Tetras in a 10 gallon tank? Absolutely! Could you put 12 Oscars in that 10 gallon tank? Not a chance!

2. That is a Cory you have, NOT a Pleco. Also, at around 2 inches, there is no reason that your Bronze Cory (and a group of his friends) couldn't be perfectly at home in a 10 gallon. Once again, Donnie has no basis for his information, other than a single site, which he follows mindlessly.

3. The HOB filter you have is more than enough aeration for the tank, though it is wasting a LOT of CO2 for your plants.

4. If you remove some of the plastic plants and place the Anacharis in the back-left (and let a few of the stems start behind the "rainbow rock" and wrap around the right side of it), the tank will appear deeper, and it will give the Cories (which you should get at least 2 more of) a place to "hang out". If you put the Sword in the back-left, where you currently (as current as the picture provided) have the fine, grass-like plant, and place the Wendtii just right of center (foreground), you will see more contrast in leaf color, and you will have more room to make plant additions. Definitely get 5 more Neons, 2-3 more Cories, and possibly one more Platy (but as you probably know, they will breed if you mix sexes) .One last recommendation would be to go with a more naturally colored substrate... Bright blue gravel draws the eye away from the fish and plants, focusing on something other than what you want... :~)

I am going to take a guess that you have a 10-gallon tank. If so, you can keep up to 12 fish in a 10g aquarium which means that you can keep up to 6 platies and 6 neon tetras.

I would not suggest keeping a Cory or what appears to be a Plecostomus in your 10g tank either. According to Drs. Foster and Smith, Corydoras Catfish require a minimum 30g tank and Plecostomus grow to sizes requiring a 40g tank.

Live Aquaria is a sister website of Drs. Foster and Smith who are real veterinarions who have upheld their promise about having healthy aquatic life, quality aquarium products and world class service since 1983 and this is where I get most of my information.

Everything in your tank looks good but I would suggest an aeration device (or bubble wand) in the future. This way your fish will be providing with oxygen inside the aquarium.

I think it looks fine the way it is. For the fish, I wouldn't add anything more than maybe a couple more Platy's.
