I guess pay off my mothers mortgage, since she owes 20,000 in interest, i hate bankers and people who do those loans, they set people up for the worst knowing they won't be able to pay on time, they're a bunch of *******, at least in my case....

I would continue to work until my debt was completely paid off, which at $1000 a week it wouldn't take very long! I work at a school district, so I would probably continue to work until the end of this school year.
$4000 a month is really only a bit more than my husband and I make now, so I think I would probably take off to finish school, and then continue to work, and perhaps he would take off to finish school as well. We would probably both continue to work, but with $4000 extra a month we would not be wanting for much!!

Well , If i had an extra $1000. a week coming in over and above my existing retired income i would tithe 10 % and with the ballance of $900.00 / wk. i would save 1/2 or 50% that leaves $23,000. savings / yr. and with the ballace of $23,000. /yr plus my retirement moneys i would buy a motorhome and travel America seeing everything there is to see in our great nation until there was no more gas available .Then i would mail $500 to $1000 anonomous money orders every week to needy people i come across every month with the $4333.00 mo. ballance left over each month .Then i would stand far back and enjoy the smiles on the faces of those less fortunate than myself .Giving anonomously gives more joy than anyone could imagine .

I would still work becuase with inflation going up every year within a few years 1000 a week would be nothing. So i would probably continue working and just save the money. Untill i had enough money for a new car so that i wouldnt have to make payments on it making insurance cheaper for the car. After that i would invest most of the money and save it for my kids college. Also i would save it so that i could retire early.

I know someone who won $1000 a month for life..or 20 years..whatever comes first.
What would I do with a grand a week? I'd get a brand new Harley and go on vacation somewhere that is warmer than the 14 degrees we have here right now.

well i'd probably have aside job.... and i'd buy a house and become a foster parent..I think its really sad there are "unwanted" children in our country but people want to adopt kids from other countries..i'm all about helping ALL children but i dont think the ones here should be left in the cold.... And to all the people who think $1000 a week is just a sniffle...if I can live off $400 a week i'm sure going to be able to make $1000 work.... maybe i'm just not into Lavish things.....but my neccesities are taken care of and I have money left over....

i would not quit working. it will just give me extra money to spend. i would definitely get all loans, mortgage, bills, paid off. i might even be able to buy a bigger house with $4000 a month. i would invest some, save some, tithe on the $1000 a week. i wouldn't have to worry over where money is going to come from to pay bills and buy my daily needs.

Since $1000 20 or 40 years from now would not be worth what it is today, I think I would spend half and invest half. The half I spent would allow better food, more entertainment, more chairty spending, etc. and the investment side would go into a qualified plan like IRA or 401(k) to take advantage of tax-free growth.

Hmm. I work 40 hrs. a week for a little more than 1600. a month, and can barely pay my bills. So yes I would quit working. Why waste my time and energy for scraps when I can stay home comfortably. I would pay off my debts, pay my monthly bills, and put the rest in a savings account. maybe buy a nice house eventually.
